I’m trying to figure out what the cheapest PHEVs are to lease, barring one off deals.
So far, by MSRP and cash price discounts, it looks like the Ford escape is the cheapest cash price but rate finder (and the lack of ads on dealer websites) suggests it leases terribly.
The (soon to be discontinued) Kia Niro PHEV seems to lease slightly better, and many dealers are advertising 3k+ discounts. Unfortunately my zip only gets their 4600 lease cash, which results in an unimpressive payment over effective $300/mo.
The prius phev seems to be the third cheapest, but doesn’t seem to have any particularly good leases.
Are there any other options that I might be missing? Probably not interested in the Mitsubishi.
It doesn’t seem like any of these models get any favor here on signed or with brokers, so I’m struggling to get a sense if they can be leased for cheap. There are a few brokers with Masda CX70 PHEVs for about 400 effective/mo for 24 months.
Not sure what you are planning to achieve here.
If the goal is to get the lowest cost of ownership i think Hyundai Elantra will win this race. The cheapest lease and insurance.
I want a gas free daily commute, with the option to take longer trips in remote areas without needing to recharge. This seems like the ideal for a PHEV.
You sure on the Escape? I see a bunch in my area that have a lot of discounts on the PHEV version ($8k from Ford + dealer discounts, $40k stickers around $25k). It’s a good candidate for a balloon (Ford leases are terrible). I ran quick #s and it came out to sub $350/mo on a 36 mo.
