Cheap lease for negative equity

Probably. Sound familiar.

It’s insane how someone wants to die on the hill of using some euphemism to describe borrowing and repaying with interest and tax.

Just say it, Shakespeare. Don’t beat around the bush with

Soaked
Absorbed
Washed
Buried
God only knows what new euphemism someone will invent next

That’s insane. Most people here seem to be fairly intelligent with these things … Yet I guess as a page grows so does the lack of knowledge.

In theory incentives could eat negative equity.
But that’s a whole discussion.

The MSRP, money factor, Interest rate, etc etc would have have to be the same and one car gets rebates / the other doesn’t.
Naturally one car would then have a lower monthly payment.

I think most of our first thoughts go towards EVs as the 7500 tax rebate does factor into the monthly payment.
Then adding In other rebates if they are available… It is a tricky was to roll negative equity into a lease and create a better financial position fairly quickly.

But no where, no how, at no dealer. Are they just like… Yeah we will take your upside down car and pay it off out of the goodness of our heart. Lol

Sign me up for that !!!

Really the only incentive you could even start to make an argument for would be a conquest/loyalty incentive that requires a trade in of the vehicle.

Never see those anymore.
Most just ask for a car to be in the family of x brand / brands.
I remember when they required a trade in.

Guess we still see it here and there with ev companies wanting you to trade in your Tesla.

Silly stuff.
