I remembered they actually mentioned the cost of these vending machines in their quarterly filings. Maybe buying a car online does NOT work after all, like father like son.

I don’t understand the whole vending machine concept anyway. To me, vending machines are things that either refuse to accept my money, or have the product get stuck in the machine. It does not make me want to go out and buy a used car.

It made a lot of people go out and buy a used car, it caused the entire used car market to explode. So you might not think it’s useful, but so many people did that the prices doubled almost overnight.

Carvana just increased offer on my 2022 Trailblazer by $1300 from a month ago. I guess they need new inventory to fill those empty vending machines…. or is it a sign of an uptick in used car prices?
This offer is above payoff for a 6 months old lease. (I know I can’t sell to them, but still a good data point).

I saw an ad last night from them while streaming a show on Peacock, focused on buying, not selling. Guess they want some inventory… even though the Mach E I sold them is more than 3k than they paid me maybe they need more in the under 30k category.
They prob secured new financing since their market value doubled in the last month

Risk reward was def there under $5/share… was a good gamble. They have too much market share/infrastructure to just completely collapse. I knew someone would save them at those levels.
