You may have to limit to those with Texas tax credits as I am sure you are familiar with the taxes there. That said if you can get a low msrp vehicle and get the selling price low enough to still take the 6.25% tax hit maybe 400 is attainable. Are you thinking of leasing?

Yeah I’m definitely looking to lease, I have a trade aswell so should have some tax savings on that. most dealers quoted me at a price with negative equity of $1,000

I was trying to hack the grand Cherokee 2025, but the dealers won’t budge. Im willing to put 1-1500 down to offset the negative balance.

Ok those are pretty rebate dependent. With affiliate you should be able to get 12% off msrp before your rebates.

Did you see what Carmax or Carvana would offer for your car instead of a trade-in? Keep it seperate transaction or else dealer will try to take advantage.

I think he wanted to offset the TX taxes. Does TX even do this? I know most states do not, But TX is in its own world.

Does that sales tax credit only apply if the old vehicle is applied as a trade-in on the same transaction, or do you have some period of time or transactional separation between the acquisition of the new car and the disposition of the old one?
