Over the last week I have gone to many dealers trying to replicate deals posted on this blog. I haven’t been able to replicate one. It boils down to the incentives/rebates aren’t as high as Leasehackr claims.
E.g., I’ve gone to multiple dealers (in AZ) trying to replicate the Ford Fusion SE lease deal and they all say that the Red Carpet Lease Cash is $2500 not $3,650 and that the $300 in 1st Month Red Carpet Lease Cash is not available/non-existent.
What am I doing wrong or are these deals just mirages used as clickbait?
The Ford Fusion deal can’t be replicated in AZ. The incentives and numbers were substantially different for AZ compared to CA and NY. You aren’t doing anything wrong.
With that said, I was able to come really close to replicating the Camry deal that they show. I’m in Phoenix area. If you’d like help with any of that, I’d be glad to help.
I’m in Tempe/Chandler. Which Toyota dealer did you end up leasing from? I’ve gone to AutoNation, Big Two and Riverside and have gotten multiple lease quotes from each which buy the way has been like pulling teeth from these people if you ask them for anything more than the monthly payment.
The best quote I got was on 12/30 from AutoNation Tempe. I doubt they will give me the same deal if I walk back in there today but I’m not looking to do that anyways because despite being the “best” quote I got it still sucks compared to what others have gotten here. Anyways here is the quote for shits and giggles:
$215 monthly with $0 drive-off is pretty good! For what it’s worth, I helped someone in CA lease a Camry under last month’s program for $155/month with $620 drive-off. Not too different once you account for the window tint (not residualized, I assume) and $400 dealer fee, which seems to be all but unavoidable in AZ or FL.
Many of the deals are regional and/or have very specific requirements. In addition to the actual rebates and incentives many of the deals listed here require achieving a specific sales price which may not be realistic in many regions or with many smaller dealerships. In metro Detroit I’ve found its often difficult to get import dealers to go below invoices vs. larger domestic dealerships often beat my supplier discount.
I spent a couple weeks trying to reproduce the Tiguan and Camry deals, to basically be told I was crazy if I thought I would get that price. I would recommend calling vs. visiting dealers because you can work much faster (sometime if I get a crappy salesmen I’ll call back later). After a couple hours yesterday (maybe 10 calls) I just leased a $33k Buick Regal 24month/10k for $140/month.
I went to Camelback Toyota and dealt with John Vaccaro, Internet Sales Manger. We worked everything out over the phone and email before I ever met him. I completed the finance application online. When I went to the dealership, the paperwork was EXACTLY what we had agreed to on the phone. He had the car and paperwork ready. I went straight into finance and the whole thing took less than 1.5 hours.
Here in AZ as well (central phoenix area). I’m coming up in time to hunt for a lease as well and was a little nervous about these great deals here. Why is AZ so off compared to SoCal or Cal in general? Do you guys have better luck in different parts of the valley?
Anyone have any experience with Chapman BMW?
The best I got I think was $250 or $270ish from another dealer with no dealer fee for Camry SE. Cannot replicate anything close to other deals either, only the Tiguan one would have worked but they had none in stock before 1/4, and all the extra fees rolled into the lease made it roughly $250 a month (including estimated service payment) back then.
