Dealership perk. For example at my dealer chain I can get a loaner just for dropping off for a regular service (oil, tire rotation)
Car bought elsewhere only gets loaner for things that take longer.

You are not a customer of THEIR dealer. Yes a customer of bmwâŚBmw financial does not provide the loaner, the dealership does. As I said it was merely a question. It seems to be a 50/50 split response of yes some dealers provide for anything and some have strict restrictions which makes me think itâs dealer specific answer and not clearly answerable
Agreed. Although even if it only has to go in for service a handful of times, the loaner car just makes things amazingly more convenient. The best thing you can do is go into the dealershipâs service department to schedule that 1st service in person. Introduce yourself and tell them that youâve heard great things about their service department and even though you didnât buy your car there youâd like to get a loaner. Tell them you give PERFECT survey scores every time and shake their hand with a $20.
Sometimes switching to that dealer from your original can be enough to get you on the priority list. especially if youâre coming in for services and repairs out of pocket.
Your reason for switching servicing dealers should be more âthey took my car on a joy ride & I got the footage in a dash camâ and not âIâve brought my car in to them 18 times for this very annoying rattle that happens every 3rd Tuesday of the month at speeds of 29 - 47.5 mph when The Mets are away. You know the service manager over there is a real jerk!â
