What do you do for work?
He works at Tesla
Pfffft!!! No one works at Tesla besides Elon!
AN is a megacorp doing $26 billion in revenue. Everyone at the store including the GM is just following policy from corporate.
Makes it easier to deal with sometimes -
And who decides on the price of a used car? Especially one that’s 100+ days on the lot and counting.
Somebody at corporate who can see what similar cars are selling for at their other 300+ stores.
The market decides.
If it’s priced right, it’ll sell.
If it’s priced wrong, it’ll sit until it’s priced right.
I get that part. I meant who decides on the listing price and price changes? Some AN stores (and others as well) sometimes raise prices even after a car sits on the lot and is clearly overpriced.
They use software to optimize pricing based on similar comps in the market, days supply, days in inventory, etc. Some of the big mega groups have taken the “trust the model” approach and stick to fixed pricing on used.
