I know BMW used to have a 5k mile restriction for leased loners that was recently raised a bit, but curious about Mini and if they have a mileage cap as well.
Anyone know?
What’s the dealer say? Or are you asking before starting a search?

They must have similar factory support on the loaners. You see them listed as new with 4xxx miles on them frequently. I leased a 2018 Clubman S ALL-4 with 4K miles on it a few years ago. Sticker was $41430, sales price was $32001. That was like a 23% discount and it was a loaner sold as new. They had to have factory support for that.
Up until a few weeks ago, bmw and mini did not apply incentives to demos with over 5000 miles. Bmw recently extended that to higher mileage. Question is if mini did as well.

2012 Countryman S manual
2013 Cooper S manual
2018 Clubman S ALL4 Auto w/sport trans
Hand’s down the clubman was the best of the 3. This generation had a way nicer ride quality, the transmission was very close in feel to a DSG, and it felt plenty quick enough (added a Dinantronics Sport).
I think the handling and acceleration are are great compromise from the Cooper S. The ride comfort was fantastic. It’s a MINI, so it’s not great with potholes, but the standard seats were the most comfortable I’ve had, and comfort in driving across the country was perfect. It’s just a great car to be inside of, all the tech with wireless CarPlay and the large central display, IDrive, the HK sound system. I really really miss that car. The rear barn doors were also excellent, the whole car was just so solid feeling, no buzzing or rattling to speak of.
We then had a baby and the closest MINI dealership is 3 hours away.
I now have purchased a 2019 Honda CR-V Touring AWD and it is an economical, value engineered, practical, utilitarian, boring pile of trash in comparison. It is devoid of everything the MINI had. The ride comfort is horrid on long trips, like an airplane seat. The infotainment is dismally laggy, slow, and poorly designed. It lacks all soul and there is no joy, but you can cram a lot of baby crap into it and it will resell easily for a decent amount if we want to get rid of it. It probably also won’t break. But I think this modular BMW engine they use in the MINI’s is a winner on reliability too.
Yeah, I loved that MINI. I would have probably bought one or leased another had the pandemic not changed our lives.
