I have been trying negotiating a Camaro deal.
MSRP: 44,230
Selling Price: $41,423 (6.35% discount)
Rebates: $2250 (conquest and lease cash )
Term: 36/10k
MF/RV: 0.00028/65%
DAS:$379
Monthly:$379 (incl 5% sales tax)
zipcode: 50010
Is this as aggressive as this deal can be or me shooting for DAS and Monthly $340 is too unrealistic? The dealer says GM educator is included but I don’t see it anywhere and looking at similar deals on this forum that much discount is standard here without GM educator discount.
Based on all the deals on here and your inputs, 340 seems like it might be too deep here. You also have a relatively high MSRP car whereas some of the low to sub 300s people have gotten are usually under 40k msrps. That said you should clarify your educator is a post discount incentive. Either way you could try countering with say 370 down / 370 a month which would put you at 7% off which is toward the upper end of discounts we have seen on these. Ultimately if you like the car and they have it available you might want to grab it. GM isn’t currently producing more and I’m betting these deals dry up fast.
Agreed. I know some of these Lt1’s are selling like hot cakes. I’ve had a handful that were sold before I could reach a deal, within the past week. Especially if it is a car that is wanted - it could be now or never.
Go to the gm supplier website and built it and it will show you the supplier price. I’m guessing the supplier discount is about 1,800 and the dealer is taking off another 1,000. Seems in line with all the other deals. Going to 39 months will only reduce the rv to .64 and will knock off another $15/ month or so. You are not going to do much better.
No but they may be willing to pre sell it to lock your deal. When I was looking at mine at the end of December it was also a car not arriving until year end, and they offered to let me sign the deal before the car showed up. May depend on dealer and state though.
GM stopped production on all new Camaros, making anything sub-$400 an absolute smokin’ deal by a mile. Enthusiasts are wondering if production of the car will ever come back, or if GM is throwing in the towel on the model. I echo the person saying “now or never” - if the car even shows up.
Yessir, I’m a member on a Camaro forum…the discussion of discontinuation comes around every other week. The Camaro hasn’t been doing well for quite some time (and unfortunately it isn’t the car to blame).
Take @asfarr86’s advice and say you will do the deal for X amount. At the end of the day, it probably isn’t worth losing the car over ~$20/30 per month (if you want it). I wouldn’t be surprised if the incentives don’t get worse, or get removed entirely with the situation.
I’ll have to see if my buddy at the dealer can do this for me. I have a feeling this deal won’t be available in April, as I have a select market conquest offer that I do not normally get…
That’s definitely a discount that’s in line with the other good to great deals people have gotten here, especially factoring in supply constraints. As others suggested, look into the 39 month term if you want to reduce the payment further. 39 months is the sweet spot on these.
