Then why do you think they depreciate like crazy?
Well. If you want the real answer to that. It’s pretty simple.
#1 supple and demand.
When you have crazy lease deals it naturally drives the resale down. When you have a bunch of lease returns it creates a bunch of supply without as much demand.
#2 new players keep joining the market. More competition means more choices. Again lowering demand on any particular vehicle.
#3 new technology. More power. Longer range. Etc.
The older cars are behind in many ways. Range is a huge one. Power is another. And range based on the car from x years ago was only rated at 240 and now the new model is rather at 300.
Power. These companies keep improving the power.
Technology. That one speaks for itself.
#4 moving back to gas. This one hurts the demand again
You have a lot of ev people who switched back because the charging infrastructure isn’t ready yet.
