CA-NorCal Optiq 2026 Lease Deal?

Looking for a lease deal on an Optiq Luxury trim, came across this deal in San Francisco Bay Area:
Optiq 2026 - retired loaner vehicle with 56 mile

  • MSRP as per window sticker: $54020, dealer price: $51855.
  • $299/month + taxes and fees, with $3995 down
  • Includes GM card sign-up and Conquest rebate

I currently lease a Mustang Mach-E with 4 months of payments ($528 each) remaining (lease ends Jan 2027). Dealer is offering to discount the Optiq by further the lowering down payment by $2112 ($528 x 4), and also add my qualified GM Supplier rebates.

Should I take this or wait for closer to my Mach-E lease-end and shop for a discount and better deals around December 2026? Is the $2112 dealer discount something that can also be brought up in December, when this would further lower my out of pocker costs?

Do you have a family member who qualifies for the $3500 CA First EV rebate and willing to get this car in their name? If yes, that’s a strong incentive to do it now before the funds run out. If not, you should be able to replicate in December without 4 payments complicating matters for no need.

Visited a dealer that only had the 2027 Optiqs in stock and not a great deal on those if we don’t qualify for the MyFirstEV rebates ($450/month before taxes and fees, with $3000 down).

That dealer said there are aggressive deals on the 2026 right now (not with them since they sold out a couple months ago) as dealers are trying to clear inventory already, and if there is no more 2026 inventory by December it might be tough to get a sub-400 monthly lease with 3k or 4k down (without the MyFirstEV rebates).

So $2,165 current discount + $2,112 additional discount = $4,277 dealer discount (8% off MSRP)

I’d say 8% off MSRP is pretty solid on the '26 OPTIQ given current inventory, provided there’s no add-ons or money factor markup.

But if you can get the same discount on a '27 OPTIQ in December, and lease programs stay steady, then you’ll have saved $2K by not making those 4 Mach-E payments. No one has a crystal ball to know what inventory or lease programs will be like then, so it’s truly a guess.

Is there any positive equity on the current Mach-E lease?

The above offer was actually for a 2027 Optiq. For a retired loaner 2026 Optiq (1344 miles), the offer I have is $368/month (including all taxes and fees) with $4000 down. MSRP is $54844, dealer price is $51423.

I’m visiting another dealer who has a bunch of 2026 retired loaners well, and they are quoting $299/month (plus taxes and fees) with $4000 down. I’m pushing for a $2112 reduction in downpayment, and adding $1000 for GM supplier discount. Will update once I have a quote from them.

For the Mach E, there seems to be no positive equity right now to sell, hence I’m looking to get my money for the next 4 payments as a dealer credit from Cadillac.

Please do update us. I’ll visit some dealerships in SoCal this weekend and post to this thread if I come across aggressive deals.

Let me know if you find anything @Fab1ano ! I am going to also email blast so cal and will report back!

Hello folks, across multiple dealers in the Bay Area, the best available deal I found was for a 2026 Optiq Sport retired loaner with 1196 miles. MSRP of $56025 (several options added), their price is $48265 (3500 dealer discount and 3500 rebates that I’m eligible for). Their final offer is $370/month and a drive-off of $5000 for a 24 month lease, I’m leaning towards signing.

Two other dealers invited us to the showroom with lucrative offers, but ended up upselling to either a new 2027 car or a higher MSRP 2026 loaner (the statement in both cases was that they had no other loaners available to sell right now).

First, you do not want or need to put that much money down, especially on a fairly inexpensive car like this. Second, isn’t it quite a bit more than the Marketplace offers by the brokers here?

The loaner MSRP is too high to achieve a good deal, unless AWD is a must for you. Was in conversation with several dealers as well and some of them can do 3.5k off MSRP for 2027 new Optiq. Socal dealers can do a little bit more which align with broker numbers.

Now turn this statement inside out and you may understand how leasing actually works. Amazing how many people are willing to dispense a free advice online without having a clue how it works.

If you’re interested in lease transfer I have this available 2025 Cadillac Optiq Sport 1 - 15 mo 15K miles - $6,375 one pay ($425 per month)

Also based in the Bay and looking at options for my next car. Optiq seems like a great vehicle, especially if I can use the supplier discount or employee discount (through a friend). Anyone had luck?

@joshlmul I have decided to hold off until November, thinking the added Costco incentives will kick in by then. The lowest possible option I’ve found right now is $419/month with tax with $4k drive off on the luxury trim for a 2027. I was promised that they would lower payments in person, but I ended up not visiting.

Ah fair! Waiting until November makes sense. I’m looking at the premium luxury trim and still undecided, especially on where

@olmyt So, the offers I’ve gotten in the LA area for the Sport Premium revolve around $4K/5K cash down + $450/mo for 23 months. Pretty bad.

I agree with @joshlmul on waiting until November. I’ll keep contacting dealerships every weekend until then and let you know if I come across aggressive deals.

Please let us know how deals in the Bay Area are looking like.

For the premium sport AWD, I’m seeing around $680/mo for 24 months with 15k miles per year. This is with $1500 down. So not attractive at all, tbh. Having a hard time finding a dealer that will mark msrp down to make it eligible for my local San Jose Clean Energy rebate

Currently still haggling with 3 dealers. Able to get it down to around $287.70/mo after all rebates:

  1. Myfirstev: $3500
  2. Conquest: $1000
  3. Supplier: $1000
  4. GM credit card: $500
  5. Local ev rebate from power company: $3000

Total rebates: $9000

Plus a $5,000 dealer discount. Brings a Luxury rwd model with an msrp of $53,525 down to $287.70/mo after $1,000 down. Only issue is the MF is quoted at .00252 instead of the current .00205 rate this month. I doubt it, but if I could get the dealer to bring the mf down to .00205, I’d be at around $247.06 a month

Edit: 24 months, 15k miles per year

ask for base and if they say no ask for something in the middle to sign immediately

They wouldn’t budge on it. Offered an extra $500 off, so I may do that tbh!
