How is everyone doing? I am posting this for a good friend of mine? Is it a good deal, and should we lease or buy? We tried to utilize the calculator, but keep getting weird numbers.
If you asked for a deal check, circle back after you have signed a deal – the community always loves to hear back! Submit your deal to SIGNED! (https://share.leasehackr.com).
Can you post your best attempt at the calculator. Its easier if folks have quick, clear picture separating out the pre-incentive discount vs incentives vs trade in
On the trade: recommendation is to shop your vehicle on variety of sources (e.g. carvana, CarMax, etc.) to know realistic actual cash value. If you do trade it in at the dealership, keep it out of the new deal and instead take any positive equity back as a check in your pocket. Reason being – if you total this car, you’ll never get this money back. That’s why the general recommendation (applies to most cases) is to keep DAS amount to just first payment or just first and fees.
In any case, my personal POV is that you shouldn’t settle for anything less than 7-8% discount before any incentives. You establish this by searching through broker postings, signed deals forum, and signed database.
Would also help to know details on the trade (year, make, model, miles, whether it’s a current lease or not).
At first glance, it looks like with trade equity + down is about $11266 and then a monthly of $220 for 36 months. Effective $533 monthly if you do 0 down(no trade and no down). I think you can do much better. Look at what brokers are offering in your area, figure out the effective payment and use that as a baseline for your counter offer to the dealer.
