@max_g - because of what you said, I managed to find a trim without the running boards and black instead of white paint for $60,460. Still has the theatre package but still saves me money! Thank you!
ditto I have my friend got the same 2018 awd with drive assist etc etc 36/10 $389/m
But theater pkg makes the MSRP $61k which is different then my reference of $51k SUV.
its loaded model so $499 is fair value I guess
I hope you negotiated some deal for basic maintenance and wear and tear into the price. That can save you easily $1000+ over the lease period.
Good luck and congrats.
I didn’t take either. The dealer was offering each for $995 and from what I read here, the advice was not to take either. This is my first lease so I am a bit worried about the whole returning process.
For maintenance, it seems like I can get my tire rotations and oil changes done at the local shop for cheaper.
For wear and tear - my plan was to pre-check before returning and taking to a body shop and hope the cost is less than $1k.
Biggest unknown is that I read some concerns saying the normal wear on the tires after 3 years might be enough to require full replacement, but people were saying that the wear and tear package wouldn’t cover normal wear.
Oh I was also considering buying 3rd party wear and tear if folks are recommending it. Recommendations would be great.
Let me know if I’m wrong, maybe if I call them up tomorrow they will still let me add it. They haven’t even take my drive off yet (my car has been delivered).
It has to be negotiated. I got both for $695. Here lowest oil change is $30 (*9) and cabin filter(*2) is $50 at regular shop, dealers charge more. I figured that’s $400 savings right there for 39 months. Dings, wheel scraping and paint chips are easily worth $300, so I went for it. I think tires are covered too but I plan to upgrade in next 5k miles and will keep original ones to return at end of lease.
See if you can negotiate it. It’s good to have for peace of mind. At $1k each, definitely not a good deal.
Skip them all. These plans barely existed in the past and were only dreamed up because of the massive profits they make (you can read the 10Ks of the publicly traded dealers…at one of them, these plans generate something like 28% of their pretax profit)
@max_g - thanks! In lieu of those plans. Do I need to consider 3rd party coverage or is my intent to pre-check and go body shop sufficient?
First time leasing so getting some confidence regarding the best way to avoid a bunch of extra costs at the end is much appreciated.
3rd party is the same…it’s a massive profit maker, even after they “mark it down”
Just take care of your car and at the end you only need to address anything deemed “excess” wear & tear, if any.
To piggyback, if you do get into another Infiniti after this lease is over, they will waive 500 in damages as well. IFS/NMAC is relatively lenient on lease end charges in my experience, if any exist.
Cool. Congrats on QX60. Glad you didn’t go for the Atlas. This one is way better than that 50k plastic machine.
Jury is out on wear and tear packages but from my leasing a volt experience, its good to have at right price.
Great job! I was hoping to get a deal on a Qx50 but I think I might just grab a Qx60 with deals like this happening.
PM me if you would like a deal like this in a California.
Looking at leasing a QX60 FWD in SoCal by this weekend (8/19). Just signed up here, so not sure if I can pm yet. Let me know if you can help.
@matrix44 You just need to go through the forums tutorial to be able to pm. it walks you through all the features with a bot and takes ten minutes. Good luck!
