BMW Loaner Residuals Calculation

Hi Hackers,

Is residuals based on the milage on the loaner car? I’m looking into a BMW X1 Loaner with 3500 miles. I’m asking for 65% residuals but the dealer is calculating around 62-63%. I asked for 65% and they say it is based on the milage on the car. Can the dealers change the residuals or can residuals be negotiated?

Also when calculating residuals, do you calculate it based on MSRP or based on the selling price (before incentives).
