Numbers will get better through the year as sales/leasing slows more than their liking. I suspect lack of inventory in 2024 won’t be a problem for brands(except for maybe Toyota).
That may be the case, but that doesn’t help anyone who actually needed a car. The best position you can be in is one where you don’t have to buy something.
Since people missed the deals just keep waiting patiently everyone. Patience is a virtue that is in YOUR benefit everyone. They will all keep coming back with better deals. I am seeing too many brokers trying to rub it in the faces of those that missed last months deals. I don’t mean to offend any broker specifically. Please don’t take it to the heart. Every broker is better to work with than these scum dealers directly anyway.
People who thought January would be better waiting for our call to come get some.

There was an old saying in Afghanistan.
You have the watches, but we have the time
Am I rubbing it in or trying to educate people on why waiting until the last minute isn’t smart?
I’m tired of your stupid bullshit on people’s business threads. You keep doing this. This is where we advertise our deals and conduct business, there is no place for your stupid shit here, on this thread.
If you want to whine about the BMW market start your own thread for it and stop doing it on business threads.
You’re not going to start a movement here.
@trusted_legacy_group can we please landfill all of this crap
EDIT: To add context, this was originally posted as a reply to @Batman in my deal thread. This use has, multiple times, posted in my business thread telling people to stop leasing BMW’s. Thanks to the Trusted Hackers, his rant has been moved this to it’s own thread.
Dude, it was weird watching cars and discounts go DOWN coming into the last week of the year. Dealers weren’t even responding to some of my inquiries and it wasn’t even like 50% off herp derp!11!1. I just wanted a value on my trade in
What exactly do you think is going to happen by you posting this?
You’re going to cause BMW’s sales to go down enough to make a difference with your post on Leasehackr?
Brokers should really have moderating capabilities on their business threads with override power of the trusteds. That’s my opinion. Would really help clean up junk which is beneficial to all
Since I never really payed attention during the year, is there any other time of the year that typically sees discounts or incentive times from BMW? Besides the road home/ december holiday time I mean?
Also I am NOT the guy your arguing with…different masked guy lol
Not only that but cleaning up outdated posts without hitting arbitrary rate limiters would be just lovely.
When we still had previous MY cars sitting near lease support end usually was like a second bonanza.
Doesn’t really happen anymore because we proactively price cars to move.
Yup. Would make serious consumers’ searching ability for relevant info on these threads a lot easier too. You would not be seeing people responding to posts from weeks ago. Seems like a no brainer
Got it…so basically for the most part in the beginning of the year it will be a few leftover 23’s if they exist and service loaners and the rest of the year will be standard MF’s and set discounts you guys can get.
“scum dealers” huh?
ok cool good talk
The Toyota/Lexus dealers in Southern California currently have the most inventory I have seen since before Covid. It is strange to finally see the lots full of new cars again.
Right? Let me guess. He is A millennial complaining because life isn’t fair and business actually survives on profit.
There’s a huge difference between rubbing it in people’s faces vs trying to educate the LH community why waiting doesn’t always help you in your favor. I don’t think any broker on here is trying to do the former. I have so many customers who held off until after December because their lease was up end of this month or February, and against my advice to lock something in December, they waited thinking the deals would just keep getting better and better. Now they need a car soon and every car I quoted them is $100/month+ higher because of new programs. Waiting is not an option for them anymore and they’ll be paying thousands more for the same car. Will the deals get better in the coming months? Maybe, maybe not. But “waiting” is not always the answer.
Agreed. And so is knowing when your lease clock runs out, including any applicable extensions, and planning accordingly. And acting decisively.
For example if someone had a lease ending 11/15/23 and their last/only extension got them thru 1/15/24, it really made no sense to wait until 1/14/24: Strike a deal by 12/31.
Get that boomer “millennial bad” crap out of here. Kills any point you’ll try to make.
I tried to get a price on a BMW (from someone
active in this discussion) before Christmas and am still waiting. Got a couple emails days apart at midnight… then silence.
First time I’ve tried to use a broker and so far it hasn’t been great.
