Confirm: my iX pulls 70 kW past 90% SoC.
I test drove the Gravity this past week. I think I like the iX more.

Replaced my wiper blades today. The IX wipers have electric and fluid connections, so there are no generic options. For my 2024 it was part number 61-61-5-A0B-571. I picked up an OEM set via ebay from BMW of Atlantic City for $55 (see listing 175853161696). To install, hold down the wiper steering arm for a few seconds, so that wipers go into maintenance position. Then pivot wipers at lower joint, depress blade release and pull up hard. Old wipers were definitely spent at 2yr/24k miles.
Canāt you just replace the insert?
Without being sprayed on and electrocuted?
Yes
You could also try flipping the orientation. Slide them out of their holders, flip them 180 degrees and then re-install. Solved my squeaking and inconsistent wiping issues without having to buy new. On a lease every penny saved on maintenance is a penny earned.
Anybody hear any recent rumors about availability of BMW to charge at Tesla NACS sites? It seems like this just keeps getting pushed further and further back. Maybe @IAC or @BimmerCarDeals ??
I havenāt heard anything yet.
Has anyone else had issues getting hands-free highway assist to work (Drive Assist Plus).
Iāve gone through all the troubleshooting steps; Reboot, reset, seat belts, no sunglasses, steering wheel adjustments, checked settings, etc etc.
I drive on the 5 and 805 freeway in California, so it should absolutely be an option since the car is specāed with Premium Package and DAPP
But whenever I try to switch mode, the third option all the way to the right (Assisted Drive Plus) just doesnāt show up.
What model year?
Assist plus turned on in Driving settings?
Model year 2025.
And yes, Iāve turned it on and off. And reset the car a few times. Still not showing.
Is it a software glitch that needs service?
Those roads show up green on the BMW nav ?
if
So, then maybe an error somewhere
I heard December of this year.
Itās very straightforward to activate. But Iām wondering if your car actually has the Driverās Assistant Professional Package. Itās a $3,200 option to most of the cars the dealer lots did not include this option. Is it possible that you have the standard āPlusā package and not the āProfessionalā option?
Very strange. You certainly have all the required features. It should be so easy to activate. You just let go of the wheel and will automatically activate.
Do you mind posting on one of the BMW iX dedicated forums? There are lots of folks there than can walk you through the steps:
Also make sure this item called assisted driving plus is selected in your driving menu otherwise that feature will be disabled. See picture attached.
@brandrup12 any luck so far?
Took it to service. They recalibrated the cameras and it now works. ![]()
