I’m definitely going to look into it.
If active duty military can domicile anywhere why choose FL with like 7% tax? Why not a zero sales tax state like NH?
Looks like I’m exempt from Sales Tax on a car. So that’s exciting!
Short answer, as I understand it, is NH taxes interest and dividends and Florida doesn’t.
In fairness, based on conversations with foreign service /military friends, you need to have some connection to a state at one point to call it your domicile. And then as long as you are moving for official duty you can keep it. A connection can be being stationed somewhere for a couple of years or buying property there. I know a few foreign service folks who have bought property in Washington to establish domicile in there.
Yeah don’t put that equity into the lease. If that I5 gets totaled next week then your 17k of equity is just gone, you don’t get that back.
Sadly it doesn’t look like it will apply here - looks like for personal ownership only.
Well damn.
Hello everyone, I need a little help - I’m currently in negotiation for a vehicle. 2024 I5 M60. $95,545 MSRP, Dealer is willing to do a 7% discount = $88,856. They’re saying that this is below invoice for them. They’re also trying to give me a .00235 MF. Close to a percent higher than the base rate. He’s saying “That is buy rate. We are going below invoice on the car and buy rate would be making no money on the back either”. What is a “But Rate” and do you think a 7% discount is below invoice for them?
Yes, it’s below invoice, there is bonus money past invoice but it is below invoice. Buy rate is the same as base rate. 1% is max markup, and don’t worry about that, worry about the net discount/overall deal.
I have one or two I can do a deal on for you as well if you don’t want to deal with this.
What’s the payment and DAS?
So what do you recommend? Pushing for a higher discount?
Sorry I’m still new to the acronyms - DAS? Payment is 1300 with $1300 down.
Still got any i5s? I’m looking for an eDrive40 in blue or silver with a light interior. Found one in Atlanta but don’t like the sales manager’s fast talking and fuzzy math to try and trick me on the lease.
