BMW i3 gets additional 10k off in CA ($20,500 in total discounts)

News release yesterday stating that BMW is now giving extra support to the i3 in the form of an extra 10k for CA PG&E customers.

This now ammounts of a massive set of discounts

  • $7500 federal incentive (pass through to customer through current BMW incentive program)
  • $2500 CA state clean vehicle rebate depending on family income
  • $500 PG&E electric vehicle rebate
  • $10,000 PG&E/BMW customer discount
    Total: $20,500 off of negotiated price

This is good through the end of May I believe. There may be additional BMW incentives that get added in future months like lease cash, loyalty credit etc. But

If true, this could put lease deals on the car in the less than $100 per month category. Worth checking out. I’m not in the market but would be curious to hear of others experiences.
