Hi

Does BMW financial services automatically include GAP coverage in the leases? The salesman never went over this with us and State Farm doesn’t offer it. We have a 2026 760i lease.

Thanks

Yes, typically BMWFS leases include GAP insurance.

It sure does.

It’s pretty much the reason you pay a bank fee.

Read the lease agreement. That is the bible/final authority.

Yes I am reading it and I don’t see it there.

The best way to determine whether your lease includes GAP is to look for one of these terms in the lease agreement:

GAP Waiver
Guaranteed Auto Protection
Early Termination Liability Waiver
A section discussing total loss, theft, or insurance settlement

That is because a couple of years ago we had a topic over here that BMW changed the language and many thought that BMW financial had removed it. But as others have mentioned, it is included. You can also give BMW Financial a call to verify with them.

Can always use Ctrl+F and search for the terms @delta737h mentioned or upload it to your AI model of choice and do a search that way.

That’s risky. You’re assuming the BMWFS rep is competent. I’m not willing to take that leap of faith, especially in today’s work environment where ineptness is running very high. I would default to the lease contract. If OP posts the lease agreement, I can search for the relevant language and interpret it,

It can potentially vary by state, but this is from one of my previous leases. It explicitly explains GAP coverage:

According to the language, the contract does include GAP. However, contract language does change from time to time and so, it’s best to check your contract for the current policies and language. Hopefully, it hasn’t changed from that decribed.
