Given this is the last week of incentives on 2018’s, I’m possibly considering adding another 3 series lease…
Realistic to ask for 22-23% off 3 series loaner or 20% off new 3 series or is that a stretch?

Aim for 15% off new, 20% off loaners. Unless a dealer has a lot of 2018’s left it’s unlikely they’ll go higher than 15%, and might meet you at 13-14% which is usually around their breakeven point.
I got a few dealers at 15% off new and 20% off loaners
I want to go for the jugular and try to hack a sub $200 3 series, if possible…
If that’s your goal, push for more on the loaners.
It’s a bit unrealistic but it doesn’t hurt to email couple dealers. If you have loyalty, grad and OL code you can be at sub $200 even without %23 off
Diesel if you want 15% plus in new
alot of dealers are getting low on inventory
Dealer in Nor Cal has 2018’s loaners across board…20% disc.
And there is, reportedly, $2.5 k bmw to dealer inside rebate too.
incentives are 3K to 4.5K before the extra incentives.
happy fishing.
I got a new 330xi for 16% and full OL code a few weeks back for a family member so definitely possible and probability goes up every day that passes.
Hard to get sub $200 unless it’s the 328d as the incentives are absurd especially with the bonus lease cash. Maybe a low end 330? Don’t waste your time on the 320 since they have less lease cash and not significantly cheaper unless you go completely bare bones.
I was thinking it would be fun to wait outside a dealership on the last deal and really push them on a remaining ‘18, especially the loaners since they turn into used cars as midnight.
328d looks good but may have to go to Monterey this weekend to get OL code…
Yes, I’m targeting a 328d that is just a tad over $50k. It’s brand new, but dealer came back with paltry 9%off. I figured I’d ask for 18% off and have them come down to 15-16% off a new one.
They didn’t bite. We’ll see.
True this.
I just made a deal on a 2018 330e and a 2018 340i and just for yucks had them run the numbers on the one 320 they had left (as I was wondering if a crazy low low payment was possible). It was worse than the 340i!
Just to clarify a bit…
Incentives for 2018 BMWs are not gone next week, but lease support is.
Some dealers are holding out on certain cars because they know their loyal base will buy 340s and 7 series, etc…
I know we often forget, but some people do buy cars lol.
@bmwdave - May be an unfair question, but roughly, what is the % of buy v lease for bmw?
I Googled first but didnt like the result
It may be possible…perhaps depending on the model. Prior to incentives, yesterday I received 18% off a new 330e (MSRP of $56k) and 16% off a new 340i (MSRP of $57k).
Yeah…I think you just have to find a dealer who really wants the 2018s gone now,. My dealer told me straight out they want all 2018s gone before EOM. As such, they only have 5 left as of yesterday.
Bmw is usually around 50-50, give or take a few % points
Thank you!
I asked my closest dealer here in FL that question and they said, anecdotally, their store was 90%+ lease.
my dealer said 80% is lease
