Bmw 340i Loaner lease

The dealer is going to be the final word on the original MSRP as that is what they need to use to calculate the residual on the lease. Not their website.

They should also be able to give you the list of options it has and you can double check using NADA or similar to confirm the original MSRP.

I generally agree with @Jon - having offered 33% off may mean they ignore you moving forward.

Ok you know best just speculating.

Yes probably too good to be true at 48k lmao. I am new and you and @Jon seem to know more about this, so thank you guys for the help. I’ll keep you updated on what they say about my offer.

The art, if you will, of lease hacking is walking the dealer into the hack. There is no MB or BMW dealer out there that is going to simply offer you a super low payment on a new or loaner or that will accept an initial offer that low.

You negotiate, reasonably but aggressively, each facet - sale price, crazy doc fees, money factor etc. If you’re successful they play ball. If not, on to the next.

I’m pretty sure the base price for a 2017 340i is $48,895, so I think your number is wrong.

Msrp: $53,795
Dealer sale price: $44,900
My sale price: $ 43,500
Rebates:$3000
Final Price:$40,500
Residual: 67% ( can someone else calculate to make sure I am correct)
MF: 0.00152
Doc Fee:$699
Acquisition Fee: $925

Does this sound good to submit to the dealership to see what they say or my numbers are off?

I’d remove those lines. Who cares what their asking price is and the dealer can’t change the RV, so no need to state that. I’d actually negotiate the doc fee. $699 seems high.

I really think you have to read up more on these forums, did the dealer just lower the price 2k? You say dealer price then your price. You’ve changed it from the original, which is very confusing. Also maybe low 4s is possible, I highly doubt you are going to get this in the low 3s.

Looks like @jon and @nyclife have hit on everything I was in the process of typing.

1.) So if the base residual is 67% is that what they will use as well?
2.) Sorry about the price change I wrote wrong, so it would be their price of $44,900 - $3000 which is $41,900.
3.) If from your personal experience you think it is impossible to get it at in the low 300s then no point in me even trying lol.

  1. Yes, minus the residual penalty because of the miles

  2. They gave you a sales price of 46,995 because the advertised sales price most likely included the rebate. They gave you another 1k off based on this. So you are asking for another 3.5k off.

  3. Anythings possible, but I don’t see it happening. A 330i would be a lot easier to get in your budget.

How would you calculate what the penalty for mileage for penalty would be in percentage?

(Mileage - 500) x .25 = $ residual penalty

(% Base residual x msrp) - $ residual penalty = $ adjusted residual value

$ adjusted residual value / msrp = % adjusted residual

With a net cap cost of $41,900, the depreciation is $284 and rent charge is $117, so that’s already $400/month not including the acq fee, tax on rebates or monthly payment, dmv fees, etc.

Yeah so there isn’t really a way I guess to get it even close to low 300s unless you use max MSD. Thanks for everything guys, I guess I will try for a 330i Instead.

but 41,900 isn’t the advertised net cap cost, 44,967 is, which was negotiated to 43,995

Yeah so it’s even higher than 400.

BMW doesn’t do MSDs anymore (unless you’re in a special region that allows customers to roll over their previous MSDs).

They told me the residual is 61%. Doesn’t add up to the numbers.

You are probably mixing RVs for 24months vs 36 months. 67% is for 24/10k.
