Hi there,
I am looking for at BMW 328i demo model. The car has 10,000 miles.
The MSRP is $49,145. They have stated sales price of $40,145. Invoice price is around $44,000.
How much of a discount should I ask for due to the miles ?

The residual value is lowered by 25 cents for every mile over 500, so it will cost you $2375 more to lease vs a new 328i. Don’t forget you also won’t get the $1500 option allowance that BMW is offering.
If you tell the dealer you want a bigger discount due to the miles, there’s a good chance they’ll respond that they have already accounted for that in their discount. It might be better to not mention a specific reason why you want it to be lower.

Pretty sure it’s 25 cents a mile now. I have generally found the sweet spot for demos or loaners 5-7k miles. Less than that enough of a discount from msrp and above that not enough of a discount to make up for the diminished residual.
I have the same MSRP car with 16k for sale, 35981.
Where are you located?
SoCal. Los Angeles…
Sorry I am only interested in leasing…
You’re right, I was going off a post on bimmerfest that was two years old.
