Best Way to get out of my SRX lease

So I have 7 months left on my SRX. I thought I did a 15k per year lease, but instead did a 12K. I am about 1200 miles over right now. I know it will cost me a little bit of money to get out.

Any advice on getting a better deal on 1 vehicle over another? I am looking for a SUV/Crossover bigger than the SRX but do not need a third row.

Cadillac has a lease pull ahead offer for 4 months early, but the wife doesn’t want another Caddy.

Any exceptionally good offers out there that might help me? I am in Michigan.

So I take it good deals are to be had? I don’t want to roll negative equity into the new car.

Also, I believe my dealer buyout will cost more than the lease turn in. How should I handle that?

You have a few options.

  1. wait a few months go to a dealership with cadillac and another gm product and try to get them to waive the payments by leasing another gm veichle, not necessarily a cadillac, possibly an Acadia denali.
  2. Sell the veichle
  3. pay the penalties

Yes the Toyota Highlander XLE is an SUV that is leasing well and you would be able to roll in negative equity/additional payments to still get a good payment.

We like the Highlander better than the Acadia. Acadia is a better deal especially with GM Employee discounts available.
