Best TV show of all time?

Vikings is a great show…

How about longest running? The Simpsons.

For anyone who likes comedies with a side of sexual humor/innuendo like Seinfeld and Entourage:

Never Have I Ever (Netflix)
Coupling (BBC version)

Simpsons is not even close to the longest running show. Animated show maybe?

Forgot an underrated show that ended too soon:

The Outsiders
Ged-Gedyah!!!

He might have an argument if you narrow it to prime time fictional shows. The longest running shows are news/variety/reality/umbrella shows (where they act/story changes each season - Masterpiece Theater). And then they count the entire span from beginning to end even if they took 2 decades off and rebooted for a couple of seasons (eg Rosanne, Murphy Brown, Will and Grace).

The answer you are all looking for is Homicide: Life On The Street.

Yes, I left that off my list only because I forgot it.

Homicide led to The Wire and they were both incredible.

Top:

The Sopranos

Honorable Mentions:

The Shield
SouthLAnd
Yellowstone
The Newsroom
Severance
Billions
Succession
Better Call Saul

There are a ton more from over the years, The Blacklist, but that’s wearing thin, Burn Notice, House, Homeland, etc.

West Wing
Scrubs
How I Met Your Mother

they already said they’re not bringing it back. you can tell the ending was cut short. was a damn shame.

very good although the end season got a little TOO far out there.

how have none of the dorks mentioned Battlestar Galactica?!?!?!

I wasnt a big enough dork to watch Battlestar

A show ahead of it’s time and since then not replicated though imitated.

We all know someone who could use a Mackey-style intervention. :eyes:

no time like the present.

Top 3 best of all times for me:

  1. Seinfeld
  2. 3rd rock from the sun
  3. Trailer park boys

Agree with this, Better Call Saul seemed to have better writing

A few from me:

  1. Parks and Rec (this one is even better when you live in Indiana, Pawnee is basically Terre Haute where I went to school)
  2. Dragonball
  3. Better Call Saul
  4. Lost
  5. Flight of the Conchords
