Best lease strategies when you plan on buying leased car

Hi,

I’m hoping to possibly buy my next leased car when the lease ends so would there be any differences on how to negotiate the lease? I know it would probably be cheaper to buy a used car instead of lease and then buy it but I like that I would know the vehicle history, etc.

Thanks

You’re better off buying it from the get-go if you plan on buying out a lease, unless there are unbelievable incentives vs a buy. In that case, I’d lease then just take a loan and buy it.

Not to mention it’s harder to get good financing on a used vehicle vs a new vehicle. Manufactured-backed low APRs usually don’t apply to used car loans.

Save yourself the headache, get a loan and purchase the vehicle.

and he’ll save the acquisition fee as well, that I forgot to mention.

Thank you, yeah I’m not sure if I’ll buy or just keep leasing yet, I do like driving a new car everything 3 years but I also kinda like the idea of adding things to a car like remote start/interior lighting etc instead of paying up front right away for those things not to mention eventually not having a car payment. I’m actually leaning towards just leasing though

Then to answer your question, there are no differences in leasing strategy one way or another.
