Same Taco Bell and were parked in the same spot? Lol

If so, there’s gotta be some blind corner or light everyone blows through!

Maybe even same idiot hit :joy:

Most people go an entire lifetime without getting their parked cars hit like this. You’ve managed to experience this twice. In the same spot on both cars. While eating Mexican food both times. There’s something to be said about that. Just not sure what it is…

Lol yeah I thought it was too good not to share. Need to move…

Not even! It’s a straight, wide 25 mph road with no lights around me lmao

The taco gods are upset you keep eating fake mexican food.

Before you go down a new path with the Tundra what was the closure from the challenger? Is there another thread on if it ended up being totaled, etc?

I totally forgot to write an update on that. They actually ended up repairing it and I actually think some people in the thread were saying they’d bet on it haha. I feel bad I didn’t tell them what happened soon after. It was an absurd amount of money too, I don’t remember but I can find out if anyone’s interested. I’m sure this truck will be going to the same shop… curious to hear what those same posters think about what’s going to happen with the truck. I just don’t know if I should start shopping around… it’s that awkward stage before you get involved with the insurance companies

Hard to say, the real expensive bits are in the front but that frame rail looks to have taken a real shot. With truck prices being what they are my guess is they repair it.

Just paid a visit to get my paperwork that I keep in the glove box…
Ran into a geico insurance adjuster there and asked him for an opinion. Said it was borderline and up the the adjuster most likely but if it was him he’s total it out.

Maybe stop parking there? Is that an option? Your cars are getting consistently hit in the same position and place.

Well as this is LH we will ask the burning question, was it a Lease and how much down did you put on it?

This place should be declared the new ā€œsnowy rampā€

yep, time for the brass tax: It is indeed a lease. Picked up at a great deal, $0 down 36 mo/15k a year for $453/mo. Only First month DAS. Its a 2021 SR5 Trail Edition. Obviously I am never going to get something like this right now, especially with the newer generation Tundras…
I need to wait and see if they’re going to fix it obviously. If they don’t, I’m considering filing civil suit. I think I have a case on the basis that: if I currently want to lease a similar vehicle with a comparable monthly payment, I would have to put a significant amount of money down. So that’s where I’m at.

Thanks for the Update, $0. Ugh it’s Toyota, did you get the Gap Insurance?

Yeah I can definitely park on the nearest side street. Its just cold as hell over here in NJ. But you live and you learn, its definitely a great story at the least.
If i ever went to the ā€œother sideā€ and financed something, I would most definitely park it off of the main road.

Oh yeah! Included with US Bank. But I also have GAP coverage with my auto insurance policy as well. Anyone who intentionally forgoes GAP insurance when it is not included is playing with fire IMO.
