Depending on how dumb one chooses to be lol. If it is a good sized snake 4-5 feet away is purposely close enough for the average Joe.
Yep 5 feet is close, but not too close-depending on the size of the snake, 6-10 feet is perfect distance, they can leap half their body length and strike you…once I started going towards it, it coiled up and was ready to strike and I kept my distance walked back and let it flow into the brush, towards the stream where it catches most of it’s prey. When I passed by the rattle was very loud from the brush… and I always let wildlife be-never provoke or disturb it.
Cobras can also spit. How about rattles? Lol
Rattles are NOT Hawk-Tuah girl, as far as I know they don’t spit lol, this one didn’t
That’s why I LOVE HAWAII No snakes there
Thats no fun lmaooo just kidding. Damn @BYGFEET looks like you have your fair experience with these reptiles. Yeah I only enjoy em on tv screens or phones lol.
Yup, go hiking here in SoCal a lot and see a lot of them also NatGeo helps too haha.
I never “listen to music” while hiking, always be alert.
One time in the hills above Malibu, summer time there were 5-6 in a field next to picnic tables etc. very sluggishly moving as it was close to sunset time.
Don’t all LHers have plenty of experience with snakes? Remember when Dodge Viper was called the first car named after the salesperson who sold it?
