For a Leaf lease does Nissan forward the 7500 to customer? Or is that for purchase only? Thanks.
For lease in reality it doesnot matter, if they will pass $7500 to the customer i bet they will adjust RV and MF accordingly.
It does if your intent is to buy it out right away to get the tax credit.
But I’m pretty sure Nissan does not pass it on, at least not more than a portion.

If you don’t otherwise qualify (or the target vehicle doesn’t ie: not built in NA) for the federal EV tax credit, for now (until March anyway) you can circumvent most of the restrictions by leasing and then immediately (to the extent possible) buying it out. You’d only be out the acq fee, the month of rent charge the spread between the new car and refi rate and of course your time. But that only works if the captive passes on all or most of the tax credit. Every dollar below that is a loss, regardless if it went to MF or RV subvention.
They’re not passing the $7500 - the lease cash is $950 on most trims. The payments are solid, but nothing insane.
You can claim it on your taxes if you fit the restrictions.

How much higher are th Altima prices without tier 1 credit? Need one for a family member who has like 650 credit score
About $50 a month higher. Will depend on structure and everything, but its not too punitive given how low that score is. Email us for a quote so we can give you a to the penny number.
