My local dealer has over 300 CX-5 in stock and in transit, and they’re not even a volume dealer. I guess they expect big sales numbers before the 2026 comes out.
12% is extremely deep as is, well below triple net.
Day supply is drastically different between the two, which is the key metric causing the outlier. I believe its largely due to significantly worse lease programs and financing rates.
While there’s far more CX-5s available, far more of them are sold than the CX-30. Between 5s and 50s Mazda sells about 250k/yr in the US, vs 1/3rd of that for CX-30.
