PSA - To this point, we have always collected our broker fees on deals at delivery and have generally not taken a deposit for our service. We have given people the benefit of the doubt when it comes to locking in cars, submitting apps, etc. In this way, we have operated very differently from every other broker on this forum.
That said, and this is a fairly recent occurrence, people on this forum seem to have lost the ability to operate in good faith when locking in deals. The level of flakiness has spiked.
As such, on any deal where we charge a broker fee (Nissan, Infiniti, Kia, Hyundai, Genesis, Mazda, Lexus, Audi), that broker fee is due when you agree to a deal and submit credit. On any deal with NO broker fee (Volvo/Polestar, Acura) we will collect a $500 deposit, credited against your due at signing at delivery (i.e. your due at signing will be $500 less).
The ONLY time that fee/deposit is refundable is if your credit is declined, or your credit decision comes back as anything other than Tier 1.
This means that if you a) continue to shop around and find something else, b) can’t find a “cheap enough” insurance policy, c) have a change in personal circumstances and choose to cancel your transaction, your broker fee / deposit for our service will be NON-REFUNDABLE.
