aronchi has the best prices so he’s got plenty of business. if you know what you want, read the directions, and are in the correct region (northeast) it’s a quick 5 minute transaction and done. Reading some of these posts I get snarky myself when i see the “i live in california can you ship to me?” we all know, that person at the end ain’t never gonna pay that shipping cost and the deal ain’t gonna happen.

actually someone reached out for a ps3 out of cali and told me that one of the northeast brokers actually quoted him on a car but the shipping was too much money.
my question is, what northeast broker is actually bored enough to spend time running a car from NJ for CA, which would require $2k+ in transport, actually RISK something happening over a 3k+ mile journey, and then have the customer struggle to receive registration because an NJ dealer doesn’t know how to do CA registration?
let’s say that transporter crashes or damages the car. if it’s a vetted transporter, hopefully they have adequate coverage, and the car itself is insured, but technically, shipping DOES open up a broker to some sort of liability for setting up the deal.
it’s mind-boggling to me.

This is an overreaction. I purchased a vehicle from a dealer in Indiana who shipped it and found the right agent to take care of the registration so I didn’t have to go to the DMV at all. If they want to do it and know how to do it, and the deal works for them, they will do it.
point is that nobody wants to do it.

I want to thank the community for the busiest Volvo month I have ever had. Thanks to the new and many repeat members of this community, I’m going to be spending most of 4th of july weekend doing June volvo deliveries, which is a great thing. We made some serious serious damage in our dealers’ inventories last month.
Pricing will, undoubtedly, pull back on xc90 gas and especially T8s this month, due to the sheer number sold. I expect xc40 / xc60 to remain close to last month.
