Are these lease quotes I got on 2016 Tiguan's good?

First quote: 2016 Tiguan R-Line 2WD
MSRP: $29,965
Selling price: $27,077
$1,500 conquest
$1,500 dealer incentive
58% residual value
.00001 money factor
$0 down
$286.95 x 36 months/10,000 miles

Second Quote: 2016 Tiguan Se 4motion AWD
MSRP: $34,770
Selling price: $32,065
$1,500 conquest
$1,500 dealer incentive
58% residual
.00001 money factor
$0 down
$339.44 x 36 months/10,000 miles

The quotes appear fair. I got the same numbers on the lease calculator assuming 1) the $1,500 dealer incentive has already been included in the $27,077 selling price and 2) a total of $500 in DMV registration and dealer document fees.

The only way left to lower the cost of the lease is to lower the selling price – which depends on inventory and the competitiveness of your region. Perhaps you can try negotiating the document fee down as well. In OH, the doc fee is typically $250 (the maximum allowed).

Thanks for looking into this. Could you check on a 2016 Tiguan R-line 4motion (AWD) for me too? I’m curious where that would fall in with these.

These were both in person quotes and I didn’t do any negotiating at all. I don’t know if there is room for negotiation at all. Both the salesman and dealership GM kept emphatically telling us that the Tiguans are incredibly hard to get right now. Out of their 50 inbound Volkswagens that they coming this month, only 2 of them were Tiguans. So it sounds like they are highly sought after and inventories are minimal. What this means for negotiation, I have no idea.

Thanks for your time Michael.
