I hear you. When a $22k Honda Civic has active driving tech as standard, why do I have to a) pay extra on my $60k BMW and b) have so much trouble finding one to begin with…

I think they are in between market segments. The electric motor doesn’t boost power enough to overcome the extra weight, but the range isn’t enough for EV purists.

For me, the 17-20 miles all electric is enough on almost all days, but if I wasn’t close to work in a relatively compact city then I would feel like I was driving a 320 with a full load of passengers most of the time.
