Folks that work for the Toyota plant have posted a October 21 start date for the factory to build the 2025 models, so likely the stop sale won’t be lifted till late September/Early October.

Since the new Mexico built 2025 4Runner rollout was delayed again in the Toyota news release last week (they may not start showing up at dealers lots in any meaningful numbers until Feb 2025), the expectation is that the existing 2024 4Runner market price will start drifting back up towards MSRP as supply shrinks once the 2024 Japan 4Runner production is done (September) and current demand stays steady, especially through the fall. Ive already seen prices move upward on 4Runners on dealers lots. There are many people wanting to buy the last of these Tahara Japan built 4Runners, but not necessarily needing a new vehicle immediately, so the unknown is how many of these fence sitters will actually pull the trigger to buy.

Spot on. My dealers either got rid of discounts or raised pricing on me by $500. I’m still $1000 under invoice but I was $1500 under.

I stand corrected. This 09 April 2024 Toyota press release specifically states the 2025 4Runner production will stay in Japan and will not be moved to the Mexico plant to be built alongside the Tacomas as was announced by several new car reviewers. 2025 Toyota 4Runner Refines Adventure Ready Heritage - Toyota USA Newsroom
