Any info on 2018 A5 Sportback?

Hi everyone, recently signed up but have been reading the forum for awhile.

I’ll preface this by saying I know there is another similar topic out there on the A5 Sportback but it didn’t come to a conclusion.

I’m considering the A5 Sportback Premium Plus
MSRP: $54,365.00
Lease Term: 36/10

Sorry I don’t have any more information on it, I’m also shopping the A4 premium plus and don’t want to show my hand in regards to price differential by asking the dealer about the more expensive A5.

Just wondering if anyone has shopped the A5 Sportback and gotten any numbers back from the dealer.
If I do decide to get the A5 I would be targeting numbers in the mid-high 500’s and don’t really know if that’s possible.

If I left anything out or you need more information let me know.

I work for Audi, and if you are not putting any money down you will be in the 600-700’s, the vehicle is new and discounts are marginal.

@Jonathan, help him with the employee discount. He’s our buddy now that he has joined the community

P+ is .00191 MF and 62% residual I believe

Thanks Jonathan, I kind of figured initial offer would be high 600’s.
Might be worth a shot.

On a side note as a dealer do you see increased value in moving a car that hasn’t hit the lot yet. i.e. could that be used as a topic of negotiation?

Thanks again.

this is correct, no incentives except Audi Loyalty.

For us, we do negotiate with vehicles that or in route to our store. but I do not see it as a negotiation leverage, your may get a "better deal’ on a vehicle on the lot.

Awesome, thanks for all the info everyone. damn y’all are fast…
If I move ahead with this one I’ll update in this thread.

Thanks again.

@Jonathan , Not to hijack the thread, but do you know when the A6 and S6 are hitting ?

2018 models? I am able to see up to 4 months from today of what is being built for our locations and no 2018 A6’s or S6’s till December if we are lucky.

@jonathan, I’ve been eyeing the Sportback for awhile and I extended my current A5 lease until November to wait for incentives to kick in and the demand to cool off. Any tips on when would be the best time to lease one from now until then? My local dealer here in Los Angeles mentioned August.

I would suggest just going to a dealership and building some rappor with the salesman and the Manager, it gives us more of an incentive for the dealership to discount the car more.

I recommend cookies over cupcakes

With a name like Volvo, you should be recommending granola rather than sugary treats.

Hahaha. That would be boring! I have two R’s so cupcakes work.

I just got an offer on a 2018 A5 Sportback premium plus with nav, mythos black, S line package and wheels, cold weather, bang and olufson, MSRP is $53,900.

The offer was $3K total drive off, $575 a month including tax, 10K miles per year.

What do you guys think?
