I am looking to see if any one recently scored any deals for the 2016/2017 Ford Energi SE/Titaninum models? It would be great to know what numbers people are getting so i can compare if i am getting a good deal or not. I am based in N.CA.
IIRC, “Energi” is just a trim level specifying an electric or hybrid plug-in powertrain. Which model are you referring to, Fusion, Focus, C-max, etc?
Last month I Iooked into leasing an Energi Fusion Platinum. Lovely car. The problem was that the residual on 36m/15k was 40% so the payment ballooned to $567. In other words, the low residual killed the leasing advantage.
Ford leases the car to it’s employees at a really good price. Sometimes you can find these cars on swap-a-lease. For example, here is a really great deal on a lease swap for a 2017 Fusion SE with adaptive cruise control. If you are interested, don’t pay for the swap-a-lease membership, just PM me and I will send you they seller’s contact information. http://www.swapalease.com/lease/details/2017-Ford-Fusion.aspx?salid=1071727
My Father In Law leased a Fusion Energi. As stated above the residual is terrible. But he wanted to purchase the vehicle to begin with. With that being said, there are really good lease incentives on the vehicle so it was overall cheaper for him to lease the car and then buy it after his lease terms were up, than just buy it outright. I know it doesn’t really apply to most people here, but that would be the only way to go about leasing the Fusion Energi.
There was deal posted in Feb 2016 that had 9k-10k rebate on Fusion energi for CA location (I think by Anthony Lopez). It could be that ford will have similar incentives back in a month or so…but not sure if similar incentives will be available this time around or not, as I heard there are very good sales for plug-in cars in last few months for all manufacturers.
