Ally Financial lease transfer help

Hi folks,

I’m trying to takeover a lease, which is owned by Ally Financial. I called Ally to understand their lease transfer policies, however, they would not even provide basic information. In addition, their website does not provide lease transfer information.

Does anyone know if Ally Financial allows lease transfers from one state to another state? The original lessee is based in PA, but I’m in another state. Recent information regarding Ally’s lease transfer policies (within the past 7 months) would be appreciated.

Why isn’t the original transferor/lessee doing this legwork beforehand? Anyways, this has been discussed/answered in Ally-related threads.

i have a taco thru ally. sure cheaper monthly but negatives lease transfer only in state third party buyout higher than if the lessee buys out at dispostion, at mercy of local dealer to accept and take care of vehicle until picked up by ally. also, who knows how nit picky the inspection will be. bad customer service, offshore call center.
