Advice on Lexus NX Lease

I am considering approaching dealers with these numbers for a lease:

Lexus NX 300 Base

MSRP: $41,593
Selling Price: $36,602 (12% discount)

Months: 36
Miles/Year: 12,000

Residual Value: 52%
Money Factor: .00020

Incentives: $2750 lease cash + $1500 loyalty

Monthly Payment with Tax: $353
Drive-Off: $1,707

I got the RV, MF, and incentive numbers from Edmunds based on my location (FL). I have a 2017 NX 200t lease currently.

Is this too ambitious, or can I do better?

Would prefer to not have to pay $1,707 on drive-off, just the first month. Is the $799 dealer fee a must or could I get the dealer to forgo that fee?

How does your deal compare with others that have been posted recently, as well as what some of the brokers are offering? That should answer your question whether it’s too ambitious or not.

Once you agree on a deal, just have the dealer structure it so that only your first payment is due up front.

As to the dealer fees, don’t even waste your time trying to get the dealer to remove these, they won’t. In Florida doc fees in the $700-$900 range are very common. The only thing you can really do is push for a larger discount to offset them.

Use 2 MSD

Capp everything so that it’s only first payment DAS

I think a more realistic pre-incentive discount from Lexus would be 10% – I am finding that is even hard to get, as most dealers are stopping around 7%-8%.

Some dealers have told me $3250 lease cash and others have said $2500. Can’t quite figure out why but loyalty is a major benefit.

The difference between base trim and f-sport is only about $40/mo – I would seriously consider that budget permitting.

Thank you, good tip on the dealer fees.

I looked at a few other Lexus NX 300 posts and brokers, and my numbers are a little more aggressive with the 12% discount and 12k/year mileage. Seems most aim for 10%, and even that may be too much in this market it appears.

You’re probably right, I am finding others aimed for 10% as well.

Was that lease cash in FL or another state? Did it include loyalty?

I have considered the F-Sport model as well, but not sure if the value would be there for me at $40 more per month or if a different car altogether would be the way to go at that point.

I am in NJ but the lease cash was just described as “East” – I do not have Lexus loyalty. I wound up getting a Mercedes GLA250 instead. Same MSRP as Lexus NX but it was about $100/mo cheaper.
