Advice on a BMW XM

, ,

XM is a hoot to drive on gas with electric adding power. Do you know any 23 all seasons because these summer tires are wearing fast lol

Interest rate on CPO is somewhere near 8% which is insane. I qualify for the 4.99% easily through the business but I haven’t seen any incentives for anything CPO. These rates are honestly criminal.ay as well buy a car on the credit card at this point.

I can live with the car if I can get it down to around $140K which isn’t impossible with the incentives already being at 15K. I just want to get some comps so I can argue $5-$7k off the MSRP to help eat into the tire and wheel warranty cost. The i7 tire and wheel was around $7.5K on its own so I imagine the XM will be similar.

Test drive the XM in sports + mode and when you hear it open up while you’re thrown back into your seat you will get it

Tirerack had the Yokohamas on sale for like $1300 for all 4 couple week backs. Check again. Also, try shopping the same tires, but by tire size and look for the same. They sometimes have older year ones on sale (nothing wrong with them) but these wont show if u enter ur vehicle information

I can’t imagine the amount of damage a non-BMW dealership will do to those poor rims. The tire shop almost destroyed one of our sprinter because the lift they had was put directly on the leaf spring.

Trust me in an a year you will be at under $100k. Im on my second XM and while I absolutely love it, would never be able to buy one sadly.

Lease one later in the year and pay for the extra miles at end. You would still come out ahead.

Sent you a DM.

You can blindly trust @IAC to give you the best advice and get you the best deal

I wake up the neighbors on a cold start M1 :joy:

And I agree, that 1st→2nd gear switch from electric to gas is a pain.

I’m an idiot…saw XM and thought iX! Ugh. Sorry. Drove an iX!

Yeah. I messed up the model. My bad.

Its all good man !

Very easy to solve. Every time you start the car for the first time of the day or if its been standing for more than 5 or 6 hours, just hit M1 after starting and give it a min too warm up.
Once you do that, no more jerks at all. And the perk is that you get to listen to that cold start exhaust note as well lol.

Even if M1 is set hybrid? Also do we need to ensure we give it back with the same tire brand at lease end?

No M1 needs to be set to edit: HYBRID in M-Hybrid.
There are only 2 OEM tire brands with RunFlat for the XM with 23 inch wheels. Has to be either one of them. Runflats is a must.
Im not sure about the 22 inch wheels.

Makes a lot more sense now lol

I can attest, I LOVE my XM! It manages to blend everything I needed into one: Fun to drive, beautiful sound, head-turner (at least two people a day stop and ask me about it), weight for sec 179, enough room for the my two little ones. It’s like a transformer luxury and quiet when you need it, then a beast with the flick of M1 or M2 on eControl

@mani_is_kool is 100% accurate on the tires tho…..the best solution I found was Tire Rack Yokos for $1,300 then go to a Discount Tire (if you’re near one) and have them add the tire package—come out way cheaper that BMW’s package, BUT it doesn’t cover wheels

Tire rack already includes 2 years road hazard protection. Whats the advantage of the discount tire one ?
And yes i have a Discount tire aswell nearby and $126 installation with balancing included is a great deal.

Doesn’t selecting econtrol mean losing out on the electric power? That instant torque as well.
