Advice for swap after 1st year of 3 year lease?

True that! I know how to run the numbers, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they did not want a full pound of flesh for my fickleness. Yes, they’ll do nicely on this swap, but I’m okay with that. They were so accommodating and pleasant about the whole thing I wouldn’t have minded even if the bite had been bigger.

One reads so often about car dealers’ predatory practices that it’s easy to fall into an “us vs them” mentality. But although the underlying profit incentive may be the same, individual dealers have varying styles, practices and policies. I find that when car shopping it’s just as important to characterize and understand the dealer as to understand the deal.

Post your LH calc on the deal then.

It might be again in a few months as he seems to be concerned about sticking it to Elon more than anything else.

It may not be useful for him, but it can be for others.

There is a less than zero percent chance of this happening.

Do you mean less than a zero percent change that the OP didn’t get hammered on the trade?
