We usually refrain from responding to posts by parties posting rhetoric with their own malicious agenda.
Unfortunately resorting to constant attacking is the modus operandi of certain parties whom can’t act professional.
Regardless it is quite unfortunate what transpired and we are aware that SAS is still working the issue.
As a convenience to the forum and our clients we made our shipping form available. Accidents do happen and it is a known risk involved with transportations of goods.
As anyone whom submitted our form you can clearly remember agreeing to the follow terms. However being sympathetic to OP we are on top of the issue and doing what we can to help.
You’re right, battling on two fronts is very difficult. I was already stretched thin with customers hounding about their order status, programs, refunds, etc…
Obviously the shipping damage and repairs are not your fault/responsibility but your recommended provider was not responsible (as you claim in your disclosure) since they are not legally allowed to operate in any capacity as a broker.
See this is why I never became a broker. Dealing with the public is for the birds. Shoutout all those who do it and do it well. Especially on a site like this.
So if anyone down the road moves forward with one of these providers you have itemized, and has a negative experience, should you be held liable? How often do you follow up with their legal status? Just wondering, because it seems like we are heading down a rabbit hole
I am not saying anyone has a legal responsibility for recommendations. That would be chaos. I am just saying their disclosure is BS. And that if you are going to claim that your recommendation is a responsible party, actually make sure it is.
OK, so how often are you gonna follow up to make sure that the shippers you recommend are legit? Daily? Weekly? What is the process you use to make sure that they are legal?
I am not the one on trial here charging brokers fees and with disclosure statements saying they are directly responsible for recommending a responsible broker.
Simple solution. Get the facts from the shipper. If no recourse, pay for the damage. Update your disclosure to make sure the clients are responsible for making certain that a recommended shipper is insured. At this point you’re just getting attacked by people that have a political narrative. When you’re on top, you’re gonna get hate. Even I hated you at one point, but I give you full right for firing both Curtis and I. Neither Curtis and I come close to you or Jaime’s work ethic.
I’ve moved on, but it seems like Curtis’s minions are after you. I’ve reached out to @notaleasepro. The damage is $3,900. Pay it and move on. I don’t like that folks are using this user as a scapegoat for their own agendas.
I have not checked the status of any of the shippers I recommend. I go by what LH brokers and the more prominent users recommend, but I tell clients to ensure that shippers have insurance
