I currently have a 2015 Infiniti Q50 S AWD that’s due for turn in April of 2018. I don’t think I will go over the set miles by then which is 10k per year. I am looking into Alfa Giulia base with driver static package, Mazda CX5 GT AWD with premium package or get an 18 or 17 Q50 premium/Luxe with driver assistant package. I currently pay $460/month with tax and I put $800 down plus 1st month’s payment when I got the Q50. I am not in a hurry to replace the car as of now, just want to know when I should start hitting the dealers and my goal is to stay under my current payment. Infiniti dealer said they might have some deals in November/December and they might be able to get me a deal. What kind of deal ? I don’t know and I am not counting on that. I liked the CX5 and I thought I would get it under $350/month with taxes but a mazda dealer quoted me like $530/month with like 1000 down. He would write a check for the rest of my infinti’s payment. This wasn’t the deal I was looking for , maybe I was too early to start looking ? Wanted advise on when I should start looking and stay under my current payment (cheaper the better)? Thanks
I’m surprised a CX5 is in the running against a Alfa Romeo Giulia and Infiniti Q50. Of the 3 the Giulia would be my first choice by far especially since it’s only a lease (wouldn’t want to deal with maintaining an Alfa Romeo down the road). The Infiniti though is probably where you’d get the best deal. If they offer an early turn-in promo you could probably get a pretty good deal on a new one around December time at the end of the year.
The offer to pay the rest of your Infiniti payments probably has a lot to do with why your payment would be so high on the CX5. There’s no free lunch.
Thank you guys for your response. I just had a baby so I am considering a crossover but I am not adamant on crossovers and the only ones that I like are the CX- 5 and Stelvio. The stelvio is out of my range when I looked at their lease numbers. If I cant get the CX-5 in that range that I am looking for then I think either the Giulia or Q50 (whichever one is cheaper). Like you guys said , Mazda dealer might be quoting high because of my balance payments but I thought he would mention that. I guess wait until December ? Thanks
@MConte05 If I can get the Stelvio with the driver assistance package under $460 with $800 down then that would be ideal. But it seems like a stretch as of now.
Considering you can easily get that right now with the Giulia, and better deals than that actually, it’ll be entirely possible. I really think the Stelvio is going to be a total sales flop. Right now it’s only a bad deal because they literally just showed up on dealer lots last month. Give it 4 months of poor sales and there will be some deep discounts.
Just to give an update. I stopped by an Acura dealer to look at the TLX and they quoted me $467/month with $1000 down (including first month’s payment) and they would make rest of infniti’s payment or buy the car from infiniti. They initiially quoted me like $535 with $1500 down but after looking at my inifiniti they reduced their numbers. Since it’s above my budget I told them No. It was a 2018 TLX AWD with Tech package. Wasnt able to get he MF or Residual.
Check with Edmunds to verify the MF/RV. For comparison’s sake here is the deal I was able to get on the A-Spec trim. I have had mine a week and change and love it.
@pensfan83 Thank you for the info! I am trying to stay under $420 with less than $1000 down . I might be able to do that with Infiniti (premium package/Luxe with pro assist). I dont need the S. Whoever offers the lowest will get the deal. Lets see.
If you get the details from the dealer post them back here. There are lease and dealer cash incentives on the TLX right now and it’s likely any offer you have from the dealer is already accounting for these. If my car, which stickered for $45,750 can be had for $476 then it’s likely the one you are targeting can be had for less than $467 since it stickers for $2,900 less.
Wanted to provide an update. So I ended up getting another Q50 .I got the car in November 2017. I had about 6 months of payments left , Infiniti covered for 3 months and I rolled over the rest to the new cars payment. I wanted to get out early because I hated the 19 inch Tires.I already replaced the tires 6 times. Infiniti wanted the run flats back on when I returned them and didnt feel like replacing them with non run flats with 6 months left. The new one is the 18 inch with thicker sidewall, so far so good.
My new payments for the 2018 Q50 AWD with the Sensory package
$465/month including taxes with $800 due at signing. 12k miles for 39 months. I got the car through Luke@precisionleasing.
