With this massive discount, couldn’t some crazy leasehckr turn this into some amazingly cheap lease? As in perhaps 0 down, under $100? Thought I’d run this by you guys to see what you can come up with since I sorta seem to suck with the calculator plus dealers in S. Fl somehow don’t seem to honor these deals for the most part.

It looks like the residual is in the 50%. Assume 22k price, 11k residual, with 6k rebate and 1k discount, numbers would come to around 120 a month. So yeah I think a good deal is possible. But due to poor residual, I don’t see it under 99 a month.

Closed end lease for 2017 Sonata 4dr Sdn SE (Model # 28402F45) available from 7/6/17 through 7/31/17, to well-qualified lessees approved by Hyundai Motor Finance. Not all lessees will qualify. Higher lease rates apply for lessees with lower credit ratings. Offer shown based on $2,199 due at lease signing (includes $179 first payment and $2,020 capitalized cost reduction). No security deposit required. MSRP $22,785 (includes destination, excludes tax, license, title, registration, documentation fees, options, insurance and the like). Actual net capitalized cost $17,794 Net capitalized costTotal monthly payments $6,444. Option to purchase at lease end $11,393 L

Also retail bonus 6k seems applicable to purchase not lease. But i think this is an amazing deal. Purchase a 23k car for 13k and 0% finance? I think that’s the way to go. Payments for 60 months would be 220 a month and after 3 years, if you can sell it for 10k your net cost would have only been 3 to 4 k.

These rebates totalling $6,750 are only valid for purchases. Lease incentives total $3,500. For Hyundai, you can’t look where you did to find the lease incentives. Instead you need to look at the payment calculator that follows build and price. The other thing is that the $6000 rebate is only valid on the Limited and 2.0 Turbo models. This rebate has been available for a couple months now and people on Slickdeals have been all over it. Sadly there aren’t going to be any sub-$100 leases on the Sonata right now because the rebates just aren’t there.

doesnt seem like the 6500 applies to the SE if im reading correctly or does it? looks like only $3350 applies to the SE. Also we can still use UBER and Mobility rebates right? thats a $1K a piece.

All that, the sonata still doesn’t seem to lease that great though.

However, it’s quite possible the elantra can lease very well.

I was just thinking if the $6500 applied to the base model a buy would actually work out pretty well on this…specially if you do Uber and Boast your looking at $8,000 in kickbacks before you even start negotiating sale price.

Buys do work really well on this car, absolutely correct, but when everyone on slickdeals has been doing this for months, I do wonder what the resale value will be.

how low can we lease it for?

This is another forum thread talking about almost the same thing :

$2750 back on the lease incentives here. Im getting told 230taxed with the dealer heavy discounting since the 2018 are in. I don’t think they are worth it with the new model here.

So it’s better to finance and capture the whole $6000 rebate.

+1 I agree with purchase. back of the envelope. MSRP 22k, Buy 13k, Finance at 0%.
Resell at 9k in 3 years, total cost = 4k/36 = 110 roughly.

anyone in NNJ try this already?

lol try what? It’s a national program. So walk in negotiate your lowest sell price. Don’t forget the $40 for the test drive deal.

@Reeferj

@chrispbacon just trying to see what actual deals were made on top of the rebates. I’m interested in this.

Wish I wasn’t already leasing a sonata (albeit with a fair price) with all these elantra and purchase hyundai deals going around. I know I could have done better if I knew this site existed. … Sigh…

I don’t know if I would buy the 17 sonata even at those deals. It’s a outgoing model so resale is going to take a hit.
