Thank you, the residual on my current lease is 36000 but I just did an a quick appraisal on CarEdge and I got 22000 as the value. I will call the dealer tomorrow and see if they want to negotiate the cap cost, that car has been on the lot for more than a year. In the mean time I am going to put money aside from work for the next 3 weeks to cover the mileage cost and start from scratch if I have to.
1% under invoice is a horrible deal on one of these. Thats overpaying by thousands and thousands of dollars
You have the right idea. Focus on negotiating a solid deal on its own. After you have a solid deal then bring in some of your overage if you need to.
