3rd party lease company to take advantage of $7500 tax credit?

Hi,

Is it possible to use a 3rd party lease company to take advantage of $7500 tax credit?
Looking at a model 3, which are now going for around 38000. With the pass through, the numbers should look pretty good.

Which 3rd party leasing company will lease you a Tesla with the $7500 as a CCR and allow you to buyout the lease?

Why would a 3rd party leasing company (in their right mind) want to do that?

I didn’t want to buy out. Just lease.

Maybe they can keep 1k of it? Idk

I dont know of any 3rd party lease companies for teslas

Why don’t you try one of the balloon loans from @z0lt3c’s thread. I think some of them had a vehicle return option at the end of term. It’s a purchase so you can collect the $7500 when you file your taxes in 2024.

Hmm so it’s the same as buying outright?
I’m asking particularly since we can’t use the $7500 credits ourselves.

If you want the $7500, youll need to target something other than a tesla.

You could use Autonomy, but I think it’s more expensive than just leasing it from Tesla.

Autonomy is a subscription service, not a lease

Isn’t Tesla like $3,750?

Tesla announced a few days ago that all 3 and Y models qualify for full $7,500 tax credit on purchases.

In Texas, is it worth? say the car is $50k
you pay $3k sales tax when you lease it then $2.5k sales tax(residual value based) to buyout?
