Looking for some current insight on 2026 GMC Sierra EV Elevation standard range (or other trim). I am seeing low inventory and not much production, assuming the articles are correct that they aren’t refreshing these for 2028 and possibly killing the line?
With that in mind, I am seeing these deep discounted from MSRP, especially demo/loaners.
I am looking for a true sign and drive with tax, tags, doc fee included (PA/NJ/NY). Seeing most of the entry level trim (maybe with the black wheels added) for about $68k MSRP discounted down to the low 50k’s.
While I know the tax and tag fees will vary a bit from each of the three states, but what is a good additional MSRP discount I should be shooting for additionally (I have conquest and military discount) that will not end the call with the sales person?
Curious if others have tried hacking some numbers in the tri-state area, any input would be greatly appreciated!
I don’t track Sierra deals but as far as strategy goes you should become very comfortable with 9 out of 10 correspondence ending with the dealer saying no. If you want the very first conversation to end with keys in your hands then get the lube ready.
I don’t track the Silverados… don’t have any info on those, but there’s nothing stopping you from building an offer with around 12~15% off + rebates you may qualify.
I’ve been EV’ing for a long time and range is just a marketing gimmick at this point. Like range “achieved” by a massive battery doesn’t benefit me. Imagine fast charging a 200kwh battery, OMFG.
So unless it’s really efficient and really quick to charge, don’t road trip with it OR don’t overpay for the longer range version.
This boggles my mind that these dealerships have these trucks for 300+ days and are not negotiating on these… are they just waiting for them to be auctioned off?
My kid plays hockey 2 hours away. Having a car that can make it on a single charge is wonderful.
Sure once you get home it takes forever to recharge but who cares it’s sitting in the garage.
Road trips. Yes it takes longer to fast charge. But if I’m getting a hundred extra miles I’m stopping once to charge vs twice with most other cars. If I have to stop more than once. I get in a plane. Because I don’t need to drive that damn far.
Now you wanna talk big battery hummer ev like the 2x suv or truck that gets crap range and takes forever to charge. Ok I have no argument
There is no ice rice and very high MF. That said my recent deal is 20% off on a loaner. Also if you can somehow find GM referral or GM Supplier of the year cert, it can make some smoking deal. Best luck!
Having this exact same issue in finding an EV That I can lease.
There are actually a few structures with Silverado and Sierra that are decently good, IMO. You just gotta go through rate finder and make sure you select every trim and scope it out.
That said, I am struggling mightily in finding a dealer that is willing to try and negotiate the discount.
It does seem that EV’s in more rural areas are easier to negotiate. They’re struggling to get them off the lot, because there’s no Charging infrastructure in those areas.
But I’m really hoping someone cracks the case on what it takes to get a decent deal, because this Hunt has been frustrating as hell.
