2025 Wrangler Rubicon 2DR

,

Dealer is in VA - I am located in PA.

Have a white 2DR MT rubicon from 2025 I am trying to negotiate a good price on virtually. Not many ‘25 manuals left out there. First lease negotiation on my own.

MSRP: 51,840

Discount: 7,184

Rebates 3000

I have them down over 10% off MSRP without rebates . Rebates I found up to now include 2000 bonus cash + 1000 TDM, not sure if loyalty is still being given. I get the feeling they know they’re losing too much on this and added back their BS freight charge and are being stingy with getting the add-on protection package off. They have given me 5 different work arounds for why the freight is still there. Either way I got to my target of 10% off msrp but still feel like I am leaving money on the table.

Looking to lease 39/7.5 with 0 down, just first month/taxes/fees.

Based on Edmunds RV/MF is around .003xx and 62%

Just wanted some overall feedback and advice on moving forward.

It’s not your target discount when they’re including junk “protection packages” that are pure profit.

2drs have lower residual and the 25s have a lower residual. I’d keep shopping… maybe play with the rate finder calculator on some 26s. .

Yep, DMV CDJR dealers love to double charge on the freight.

In any event it’s a waste of time to get into the weeds with the dealer over the add-on’s or freight. Just use the LH calculator to build your target deal (with no add-on’s or double freight) and make the dealer an offer.

Just getting to 10% off MSRP is not a target and leaves lots of room for ambiguity and for the dealer to make it up elsewhere. As harrydogyo said they’re really only at 7% or 8% off when you add back in the BS.

Sounds like they are not worth the effort. I would find the best terms on a ‘26 like Harry said and just order one. If the terms are incentivized, you should be able to lock them in. Question, have you driven one of these in manual extensively? I am the biggest manual fan out there, but the Jeep is just a different animal. I had one briefly and went back to an auto.

I completely agree. I’ve wanted a manual JL forever (had 2 manual TJ’s back in the day), finally test drove one a few years back and was like no way in hell. The Wrangler stick was just plain sloppy.

Thank you for the comments everyone. I ended negotiations with them. The second I mentioned a lease they pulled the rug on discounts. I politely told them I was not interested.

I have driven manual cars exclusively but only test drove a manual wrangler a few years back. Seemed alright to me but that was a limited experience. Curious to hear how it is after a while. As a taller fella, I wanted to get into a larger car while sticking to manual. However, that is an extremely limited area, only the wrangler and tacoma fit into it essentially. Tacoma going 4cy turbo is a turn off for me so here I am dealing with jeep.

Is there a specific trim I should target for a better lease deal? I do have a dealership who is willing to order one for me with no add-ons and 5-6% off MSRP on a 26 model.
