I was searching for lease deals for Prologue Elite and got the following from a Florida based dealer. I am based out of Virginia.
I was trying to use the lease calculator to see if I can get same numbers as dealer with same inputs but I feel the dealer bumped up the MF by a lot to give me these. Rate finder shows MF as 0.00133 (3.19% Apr) but to match dealers numbers I had to update it to 0.00296( 7% APR)
How do you get the MF negotiated in such case since it’s not shown in the quote ?
Also I am not sure on what the dealer says is Florida fees which is 1k nearly and doc fees is also high comparatively.
You shouldn’t need to negotiate MF. Make an offer in terms of what monthly & DAS combination you would sign at. If they accept, great. If not, move on. What was your target deal going in, and surprised you have to reach out to FL dealers for a deal. Your target offer should be based on pre-incentive discount you see attainable on this forum (Signed deal examples, signed database, broker listings) + plugging in RV, MF, and rebate information (which you have). For dealers who can get to your target, it becomes irrelevant how they get there. More often than not, they wouldn’t be marking up the MF, but even if they did (in lieu of higher discount), it doesn’t matter.
Can you post your best attempt at a calculator? Also, any particular reason to hunt for this versus it’s Acura twin, which I think can be had for same/similar price?
Thank you for the suggestion. Accura ZDX Aspec for 36/10K I was able to get a local dealer to accept for 400 per month inclusive of all taxes however but it doesn’t have 360 camera which Wife said she definitely needed. S Type has this feature but not available at 400 price point.
