Read on the lucid forums about an app called tidal that’s like pandora but higher quality. Def sounds way better in this car then pandora did. Theres a 1 month free trial for it also

Tidal is pretty dope. Much better sound quality, and there’s some remastered tracks in dolby atmos if you want to see that party trick.

I have a hard time switching from Spotify since it has known my music tastes for a decade and curated playlists to match.

That said, I have been impressed by the sound system. It’s very clear and I can hear all the instruments, there’s no “muddiness” when the midrange runs together. I turned down the treble by about 2 points as I found the sound to be too sharp during long sessions.

Yes going to tidal doesn’t have my music but it just sounds so much better then Spotify and pandora that I think I’m going to keep it! I’ll have to
Check out the Dolby stuff on there too. I was disappointed in that stereo being an upgrade until I tried Sirius and tidal now it’s much better for sure.

How much better is Tidal from Spotify? I use spotify in my other cars and devices. It would be a big ask to transfer from Spotify to Tidal, especially if the quality increase is minimal.

In the car with Spotify set to 320kbps quality and Tidal set to max, the improvement is minimal. Audio via Bluetooth is also being compressed. There’s definitely a clarity difference but you have to look for it. There’s a free trial if you’ve never used it, so you should at least check it out.

I haven’t tried native Spotify/Tidal yet within the car due to the clunky interface but that should improve things a bit.

On my own personal computer or phone with my headphones plugged in (small DAC) the clarity difference is night and day to me.

I use the native one and it works seemlessly. Just log into the device once and it automatically pulls up everything from Spotify. I personally had more issues playing music from my phone.

I can’t find my playlists in Tidal. I think I’ll just stick to Spotify.

White 2024 Pure available in SF right now

It’s very nice. But the cabin stays warm in sunny conditions. They sell a cover for it. It also makes the car look nicer on the outside with the contrast. It’s an expensive option and on an 18m lease affects the price. I’d say get it if you don’t mind paying for it.

that was fast, gone in less than 4 minutes

is it me or the GT sound system is shit?

Moving from Tesla to Lucid. The UI is such a disappointment. The UI got stuck on me this morning and my car seat would not come back from the “easy entry/exit” mode. Previously I have had issues with some buttons not working. The lack of cameras or blind-spot views is such a disappointment too. The one-pedal mode is also not as smooth as it should be. The accelerator pedal stiffness is also something Lucid needs to work on. Overall, the car is a lot of fun to drive but if I have to do a quick errand around the neighborhood, I would rather drive my model 3 which is a lot more convenient to get in and out without any issues. Lucid Pure has so much potential if they can only get these issues resolved.

That sounds right as Tesla has the best UI in the EV business. Lucid should beat the Tesla in build quality, ride quality, luxury interior, NVH, buttons/stalks.

Yes. I mean. I am not asking Lucid to beat Tesla in UI. Just not make it so hard to use. I have owned the thing for 4 days and have had to restart the system twice already. Once for the profile not loading and one for the seat being stuck at the back. :unamused:
I am even afraid to not leave the key at home in the off chance the mobile key stops working.

I disabled mobile key. The proximity feature kept waking the car up whenever I went into the garage and would cause it to start charging outside of the scheduled window. Apparently that’s a bug, no idea if it will be fixed.

I def wouldn’t risk not having the key with me. I’ve had a lot of CarPlay bugs but I guess that’s normal in a lot of cars. Def glitchy hopefully future updates fix that.

Just got a call with a Lucid Pure in Miami, $550 monthly 0 down. Think I will pull the trigger!

I’m cancelling my 2024 Fathom Blue Pearl Stealth in San Francisco because I’m based in So Cal. The transport cost kills the deal for me but i loved the spec.

How much were you getting quoted for transport?

$700 using Montway
