Why not reach out to them to see if they will either meet you halfway or deliver the car to your house. I test drove a Lucid Air last year. Fit and finish were superb. So was the ride quality, but everyone’s experience will vary.
I have had my Lucid since July 2024 and love it. I was will DM you my salesperson’s contact. His name is Tim and he is awesome. These are Lucid employees and they don’t work on commission.
It will be an honor if you anyone else wants to use my referral link to get up to $1250 off. Plenty of spots left and guarantee to work.

I test drove the Lucid Air Pure and Touring earlier today. Both cars are excellent in terms of driving, handling, and build quality. What I understood from the salespeople is that all the rebates/discounts are stackable. The ones you listed are for the Touring only though. The Pure has less Air Credit. Another stackable $2,000 Conquest discount is also available if you qualify. All in all, you are looking at $20,000.
I got a quote on a touring for about $4,500 due at signing and $680 a month for 12,000 months and my tax rate is 8.875% in New York.
Was a little too high for me but the process was nice. Clean, easy and enjoyable
THIS IS NOW FULL - deleting now. If you used before this post you are good to go!
They are the only ones that issue 1099s, as its a form of fungible and scheduled interest payment converted into a loyalty point, AA advantage miles which they then issue 1099s on for that value.
I earned like closer to 2 mil amex last year, and 300k C1 miles? No 1099 from either, and cash value on those is closer to 3k.
Otherwise, credit card points are considered a rebate on spending, and thus aren’t taxable income according to my CPA.
This is heavily my area of business.
It depends on the type of points and use case. For Amex MR, points that have no actual cash value (ie redeemable for hotels/airlines), you don’t have to report those. For other cashback that are redeemable only for cash/statement credit like the Chase Amazon card, then you have to report that as a reduction in your cost basis.
Like you, I earned around 7M in amex MR points last year. I intend to redeem those for airline fare. I strongly believe I can get at least 5 CPP in value for J/F flights. But you won’t see me reporting 70k*5cpp = $350k on my returns. At the same time, I earned around 150k in Chase Amazon cashback. That is purely a reduction in my cost basis and has to be reported as such.
Hope you’re not doing ppbp and you survived the Amex shutdown like I did.

Hello, I’m newbie to lucid lease. How do I quote from their online calculator? Do I just put credits mentioned in the post title as down payment to get my monthly?
Brother we have to talk more. And no i didn’t do fluz. A lot of pepper though.
Wait a second? Is that going to be taxed as regular income?
Thats what it looks like!!
What is that $1 for each point?
Taxes on each point earned or each point used?
Yikes. Sorry brother.
It’s on points used and $.125 per point . My 1099 is for $700ish and I only redeemed points for some backpacks and stupid coffee mugs.
Did you do a factory tour with flights included?
I redeemed for it last year but haven’t done it because i had death in the family, so i postponed it
